Mother, entrepreneur, student, talk show host, producer and visionary - these are some of the titles that come to mind when describing Ms. Bridgette L. Ridgeway.
As President and CEO of TaylorField, a successful multimedia, communications and strategic marketing firm, launched in 1996 and named in honor of her parents, Ridgeway's diverse blend of skill, talent and pure tenacity has allowed her to represent fortune 100 brands throughout the United States.
Whether she's in the board room, on camera or engaging global audiences, her goals are always the same - blend eye-catching video, facts and audio with universal stories that influence, inspire and inform.
"Television is my passion. I love to share stories, information and help change lives through the power of communication" says Ridgeway who remembers watching Connie Chung on the CBS Evening News. Although she didn't know it at the time, Bridgette had caught the media "bug" and was destined for television.
She polished her craft by freelancing as a print reporter for The Business Journal covering advances in medicine/healthcare, finance, technology and a range of global and regional investigative news stories - often published on the front page or as the lead story in special sections. She later served as a senior media strategist and spokesperson for multiple corporate brands, produced and hosted several successful TV projects and even produced a pilot television talk show with the help of major production company in Chicago.
Today, she is an award-winning journalist, talk show host, producer and industry leader with an impressive body of work in TV, film and print and a growing list of accolades from international and national media organizations. To date, her list of accomplishments include 48 global awards and 41 national, regional and local awards most noteably a Silver World Medal from New York International TV and Film Festival, six Gracie Awards from Alliance for Women in Media, eight gold and silver Communicator Awards, 11 platinum and gold Ava Awards, eight platinum and gold Hermes Creative Awards, eight platinum and gold MarCom Awards, three silver Davey Awards, two bronze TELLY Awards, two Clarion Awards, two silver and bronze Omni Awards, a silver W3 Award, a bronze Summit Creative Award, a Communitas Excellence in Community Service Leadership Award, five Northwest Broadcasters News Association Eric Sevareid Awards, five Wisconsin Broadcast Association Awards and two Milwaukee Press Club Awards.
She kicked off 2012 with an Opulence Honoree Award and Community Award in the media category presented to small businesses in Wisconsin and a City of Milwaukee Big League MVP nomination in the media category presented by the Milwaukee Press Club.
In addition to being up for several more global and national awards this year, Bridgette Lateice is busy launching an original TV series to premiere in 2012.
"My faith directs every step I take," shares Ridgeway, who is inspired more by family and "regular people" than the famous. This sensitivity leads to her love and support for community not as an obligation, but as a choice. "I support people wherever they are in life. Volunteerism comes from wanting to learn. It's about where you are, not where you've come from."
In 2005, she landed on the cover of Biz Times Magazine after hosting several successful TaylorField Power Networking receptions showcasing high profile speakers and hundreds of guests ranging from corporate CEOs, diverse professionals and small business owners to public officials. The cover story, titled: "New Strategies for Power Networking - How to Fill your Rolodex with Many Beneficial Relationships" was an immediate hit. The themed networking receptions became so popular and effective at connecting diverse community leaders and stimulating business growth in Wisconsin, Ridgeway executive produced and hosted two TV specials which subsequently aired on cable television reaching over one million households in Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. Both specials also received an overwhelming response after airing on two local public access stations, reaching over 900,000 households in the market.
As her career in communication soars, recent silver world medal winner Bridgette Lateice continues to be an inspiration to all who dare to dream.
Stay tuned for her new TV series to premiere later this year and a new global awards program to launch in 2013!
